What is OurActs program?

 

In the past Western culture has prioritised intelligence and “doing” over the development of mental health and wellbeing in our society. People describe themselves as “walking heads” who have no connection with their body sensations and feelings. Some emotions are identified as “negative or bad” whereas all our emotions are important to help us live a rich full and meaningful life. Jenni works within a wholistic model ensuring the mind, body and spirit are all equally nourished. Sometimes one area needs more attention over another, then it is important to come back into equanimity and balance
New research has come out over the past 10years that helps us to understand human behaviour and how it is linked to our primitive defense responses. Our brain is designed to protect us and ensure we survive under any conditions. It was also thought that after 25 years of age, our brain did not grow or build new connections, however there has been extensive research in this area, especially with people who have experienced a brain injury and learnt new ways to do things that were impacted by this injury.

OUR ACTS Packages

OurActs Workshops

Managing Stress and Anxiety is the foundation program and needs to be completed before the other programs are started.
Skills developed in this workshop will support you in the next workshops as well as in your life.

More Details

Making a commitment to come to every session of the workshop is essential, however if you do miss a session you can make it up one on one with Jenni at an extra charge before the next session
There are no more than 12 participants in a workshop to ensure that participants feel safe and connected
If you have a friend or family member you would like to do the workshop with, speak to Jenni about a discount price
Workshop payments can be made upfront in full or weekly instalments can be made

OurACTs Coaching

Coaching covers the same topics as the workshops and is an individualised program collaboratively developed with the you and Jenni depending on your needs.
Coaching is offered one to one, either face to face via skype or a venue in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Mental health coaching helps you deal with any challenging issues you are experiencing and finding solutions to them rather than focusing on mental illness.
